Get next-level training in how to analyze contemporary political situations and confront injustice in this first-in-the-nation undergraduate program dedicated to holocaust and genocide studies. Together, we examine genocide beyond the context of the Holocaust and encourage students to travel to Poland for a semester to gain deeper perspective.

Studying holocaust and genocide studies at Keene State is not limited to the classroom. You’re encouraged to spend a semester abroad, with many choosing to study in Krakow, Poland, at the Centre for European Studies at Jagiellonian University. A number of opportunities are available for summer or semester-long internships.
Go even further with an internship at the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention, and the Borgen Project.
A degree in holocaust and genocide studies can take you in so many directions. All Holocaust and genocide studies majors are eligible for a Degree in Three. Additionally, students who major in holocaust and genocide studies–and are a resident of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, or Vermont–are eligible for a reduced tuition through the New England Regional Student Program.
